| The
San Diego Underwater Hockey Club is pleased to announce
Camp
O Rama 2007!
When:
Monday, October 8th 2007
Where: San Elijo State Beach, California
The
Camp-O-Rama for the 2007 PCCs in San Diego will be Monday October 8th
at San Elijo State Beach.
We have reserved three prime spots overlooking the beach. There are a
limited number of people and cars/RVs allowed. Each location costs 42
dollars per night, so the cost of camping depends on the turnout at Camp-O-Rama.
Not only is San Elijo State Beach and excellent park but it is unique
in that it is also located close to some nice restaurants and bars. There
are also many fun activities, we will participate in during the day.
From
the State
Beach website:
Located on the San Diego Coast, San Elijo State Beach offers swimming,
surfing and picnicking. The narrow, bluff-backed stretch of sand has a
nearby reef popular with snorklers and divers.
Local
comment: The park overlooks the famous "Cardif Reef"
surf spot and is just south of "Swami's" Surfline
Report for Swami's
So, that snorkeling gear will already be handy for snorkeling in the Lagoon,
and we can rent boards for surfing.

Other
San Diego Attractions
The
Beach - Seriously, it's less than a hundred
yards from the pool. Try surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, sand castles...
you know how beaches work.
There are rides, a roller coaster, shops, etc. right next to the pool.
Wavehouse - Surf permanent waves in the same building as the
Plunge. They mentioned a deal for people in our group but we still need
to check into that.
